Mobile Client Engineer – Android/iOS - Path Forward Returnship
The Path Forward Return to Work program at SAP is a 20-week paid returnship for experienced professionals returning to the workforce after taking time off for caregiving. PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

Our suite of end-to-end HR applications are used by nearly 40 million people around the world, helping organizations of all size re-think their HR processes by delivering innovative solutions, analytics and process expertise.
The Mobile team is charged with delivering the E-2-E Mobile experience of the SAP SuccessFactors product port-folio in a pure native world. This is include direct interaction with the both Apple and Google’s native OS teams as well a focus on extreme Mobile Security and with extreme focus on the end user experience.
We use the latest and best in market cloud native microservice based architecture for building application We adopt latest trends inside Mobile technologies from Apple and Google as well as front line technologies from the mobile markets
The team is working in a Scrum-based agile mode designing, implementing, and releasing products as part of our Mobile offering.
EXPECTATION AND TASKS
- You will work directly with a delivery team to design, code and deliver features on either iOS or Android to the market
- You will work with UX, Product Managers, Sr and Architect level engineers to deliver the best possible experience.
- You will be tasked with providing high level code, testing of your own code and your peers code, create automated unit and regression test cases and debug and resolve issues from the field.
- BS or MS in Computer Science
- Ability to work independently and within the scrum methodology
- Android or IOS implementation development experience
- Strong knowledge of general OOP and generic code pattern
- Knowledge of general UX and implementation strategies for mobile e.g. MVVM
- Knowledge of threading, caching and security is a strong plus
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), good problem-solving skills, and ability to work with technical and non-technical staff
- 4+ years of post-Master’s Degree or 6+ years of post BS degree software development experience
