The Path Forward Return to Work program at SAP is a 20-week paid returnship for experienced professionals returning to the workforce after taking time off for caregiving. SAP Service Cloud team is committed to deliver best-in-class and leading edge on-demand CRM solutions designed to meet line-of-business needs. We provide appealing products combining software, configuration, and customizing tools with a rich user experience - integrating emerging trends such as the use of Social Media and mobile devices for interaction with consumers. This team supports key business functionality within SAP Service Cloud solutions and owns end-to-end responsibility development for UI, Backend Service, Analytics, extensibility and other application development components.
We use the latest and best in market cloud native microservice based architecture for building applications. We adopt latest trends like Machine Learning, Conversation AI, IoT, and BoTs to enhance the business process and user experience. The team is working in a Scrum-based agile mode designing, implementing, and releasing products as part of our Cloud for Customer offerings.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
- Perform product design, modeling, implementation, and testing; working in accordance with agile development models (Scrum, LEAN)
- Cooperate with various development teams, including Product Management and UI Designers, to translate customer requests into useful product functionality
- Conceptually understand microservice architecture and cloud native applications
- Directly interact with internal and external customers
- Technically oriented with coding, problem analysis and resolution abilities
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years of relevant experience, with a BS or MS in Computer Science or related field.
- Must be able to work both independently and within the scrum methodology
- Experienced with SAP applications as well as related business processes, preferably CRM
- Knowledge on SAP UI5 or other UI frameworks like Angular/React and SAP Cloud Platform preferred
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), good problem-solving skills, ability to work with technical and non-technical staff
- Must be willing to work in Palo Alto; local candidates preferred.
