For further information on the 2012 and 2016 specifications and sample assessment materials please click here.
Assessing with OCR is an excellent form of CPD. It will help to develop a greater understanding of how the assessments work, which in turn will help you to prepare your students more effectively.
As part of the assessor support package you would be provided with new assessor training and you will also be standardised in a face to face meeting prior to carrying out moderation.
You will be paid a set fee for moderation visits plus travelling expenses.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate a good level of knowledge within the subject that they wish to apply for. Applicants must also evidence knowledge of assessment within the relevant subject area and level.
Applicants for the role of Visiting Moderation must be resident within the UK in order to carry out visits to centres.
If you are involved with, or have seen any forthcoming assessment material for an OCR specification you cannot carry out visits to centres on behalf of OCR.
Please click 'Apply' and complete the information required to begin the application process. Please ensure you complete the HMRC details section in your profile.
Please give details of your experience in relation to the Cambridge Technicals on the next page.
What happens next?
If your application is approved, your details will be passed to the Deployment Team who will contact you as an opportunity arises. Unfortunately we are unable to guarantee an allocation as the number of centres available depends upon candidate entries and regional requirements. You can expect to be allocated approximately 15 centres, each requiring two visits per academic year, again this may vary according to entries. You would be required to moderate the full allocation of centres at an agreed time and date that is mutually convenient for yourself and the centre.
