Are you a recently qualified technician looking for the next step in your career where you can continue to grow and progress in your role? Perhaps you’re a Technician that likes the variation of roles that comes with being a Rotational technician? Do you like working in a close-knit team where high attention to detail, flexibility and the desire to learn are essential?
We have an additional role on offer for a registered Pharmacy Technician to rotate across the Pharmacy department covering dispensing (for in and out patients), manufacturing, aseptic preparation, radio-pharmacy, Medicines Management and ward services to all hospitals in the Bailiwick of Guernsey. The department has recently restructured the service, changing the way they work and adopting a forward and innovative approach, which has meant they are able to increase their Technician Numbers.
The key areas of focus are completing general dispensary duties for inpatients, outpatients and satellite units; participating in dispensing of cytotoxic and aseptic preparations, parenteral nutrition, radio pharmacy, and medicines management on the wards. If you are currently working in Medicines management and would enjoy the variation a rotational role will bring then training will be provided in the areas of Aseptic Dispensing and Radiopharmacy.
If on the other hand, you are currently working in Aseptics and would like to branch out into Medicines Management, you will again be supported with the relevant training.
This is a close-knit team where teamwork and a flexible approach will be essential. We offer continued training and development so there will be plenty of opportunity to progress within the role and gain further qualifications. This, balanced with a healthy work-life balance, a beautiful island with plenty of beaches and outdoor activities and quick transport connections to the UK add to the uniqueness of the role.
