What will I be doing as an Airport Security Officer?
In this exciting role you will get involved in;
✈ Conducting hand searches of cabin luggage and passengers as required
✈ Operating high-tech security equipment such as X-Ray machines and body scanners
✈ Patrolling our Terminals
✈ Checking of staff ID cards and passenger boarding cards before entering the security area
What contract is available?
We offer a Permanent Annualised Hours contract which means you are paid for 20 hours a week, however, at peak times you may be required to work additional hours or at quieter times you may be required to work less than 20 hours a week - This does not affect your salary which is paid consistently at 20 hours per week.
You will need to be flexible to work on a 24/7 operation which will include night shifts, early mornings and weekends. Shifts will vary in lengths so you can expect short-haul and long-haul shifts.
The rate of pay is £11.34 per hour (this includes shift enhancement).

What are the position requirements?
No security experience is required as we pride ourselves in offering full training however, you do need to have experience of working in a customer focused environment. Naturally, we want to see enthusiasm, a pro-active attitude and your ability to deliver first-class customer service. As the face of MAG we need you to be well presented, punctual and focused on attention to detail.
Please note, all candidates must have perfect colour vision and the role will require long periods of standing, bending and walking.
If you’re successful you will be made a conditional offer subject to Pre- Employment checks and passing your 3 week level 1 training course. Checks include: A Criminal Record Check, 5 years employment history and Counter Terrorism Check.
