The successful Product Owner wil be a member of an Agile Development Team who serves as the customer. Understands Agile Release Train planning and management of the Product Vision, Roadmap and alignment to Programme Backlog
The role will be working on a range of digital products with stakeholders from across the business. As well as supporting ad hoc requests and tasks, the role has a number of important and high profile ongoing areas of responsibility:
Be the voice of the customer throughout development cycle.
Own prioritisation of backlog to be continually aligned to business value. Providing vision and direction to the Agile development team and stakeholders.
Planning and execution of epic and story elaboration with agile development team.
Define and develop the framework and methodology for prioritisation, triage and sizing of new demand.
Manage internal and external stakeholder expectations in a timely, consistent and professional manner for all on-going and future features and provide regular communication updates.
Promote SAFe agile methodologies and collaborative ways of working with development teams in the U.K. and aborad.
Work with other Product Owners to define, schedule and track progress of the digital pipeline.
Commercially focused with a keen eye on the measurable success of each deliverable and ensuring where new ideas are created they offer increased value for the customer and business.
Work with Project Managers to align digital portfolio, prepare and participate in PI Planning to maintain programme vision, product vision and epic vision.
Understnding and knowledge of the market, the users, and the roadmap for the product.
Supports User Experience Architects to get the best business outcomes for their respective projects of work.
Review and approves user stories completed by development team in a sprint against acceptance criteria and user experience objectivies.
Certified SAFe® Product Owner/Product Manager.
Management of digital products within a large organisation.
Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse, geographically dispersed group including executives, managers and subject matter experts.
Strong teamwork, relationship building and interpersonal skills.
Strong technical and problem solving aptitude.
Sound financial skills including the ability to write business cases, determine ROI.
