What is the role about?
You will take overall accountability for developing the strategic targets of the Offshore Business Unit and supporting, coordinating and driving the strategy roll-out. Based on the Siemens Gamesa values, you will act as a role model for others, as well as establishing the connection between the strategic goals of Offshore and the overall company goals.
You will have two direct reporting lines, to the CEO of the Offshore Division and to the Chief of Strategy and Corporate Development, and your own team consists of around 12 professionals.
You will take accountability for development and roll-out of the global strategy for the Offshore Business Unit with a clear focus on:
- Launching high priority strategic initiatives, working directly with the leaders and key stakeholders of the business
- Drive business development and optimize footprint
- Monitor and drive business activities in China
- Steer all activities regarding competitor benchmarking, market study, industry intelligence, consumer knowledge, and development of strategic initiatives
- Develop new business models
- Define and implement KPIs to establish the operational framework
- Management, leadership and development of the team and employees
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction in the service area by developing improvement programs
What do I need to qualify for this job?
You have validated strategy management experience, leading international teams in a company with a multinational orientation. You will be able to demonstrate a sound balance between strategic, logical thinking, and excellent management capabilities with the drive to implement action.
It’s key to have an excellent level of strategic knowledge which you could have gained in a similar Head of Strategy capacity and / or within a consultancy in a strategic management position.
Besides being hands-on and highly results-oriented, your analytical skills stand out as one of your core competencies.
You have an open communication style and personality which is both authoritative and diplomatic, with the ability to challenge and push back when needed.
You have an open and creative mindset, able to work collaboratively and effectively within a complex international environment. You are a person of integrity with pronounced networking skills, able to work independently
Lastly you are fluent in English with an enthusiasm for making and delivering presentations. Other languages such as German, Spanish or Danish would be advantageous.
There’s some travel expected in this position (assume 40%) as well as working with colleagues and partners from international teams: you enjoy and thrive in a multi-cultural environment.
