1. Contribute to the design of locally produced school feeding programmes, plans and processes, while ensuring their alignment with WFP's policies and programme directions.
2. Implement and manage local production-based school feeding activities in specific areas of intervention and according to identified funds, programmes/projects of considerable size and complexity, in accordance with WFP standards and procedures.
3. Develop synergy with other ongoing WFP activities in Burkina Faso, including resilience, nutrition, humanitarian assistance, social protection and gender
4. Research and analyse policy and operational issues to inform the formulation of HGSF policies, programmes and activities
5. Contribute to initiatives that ensure a complete value chain with farmer organisations for increased production (and processing), income, capacity in order to create long-term impacts, and this in coordination with the units involved, especially resilience, nutrition, procurement etc.
6. Contribute to the preparation of accurate and timely reports, publications and information products or proposals for internal and external use
7. Liaise with internal and external counterparts for effective collaboration, monitor ongoing projects and highlight potential risks to project implementation.
8. Support the identification, development and management of potential partnerships and collaborative working groups aimed at improving the delivery of food assistance.
9. Represent WFP at appropriate meetings to contribute to discussions, exchange experiences, advocate for the HGSF and identify areas of potential collaboration
10. Support the strengthening of the national HGSF programme and policies as well as strategies, action plans, protocols and guidelines in line with national priorities
11. Accompany the Ministry of Education with support and technical expertise for the planning, formulation and implementation of HGSF that enhances government and community ownership and effectiveness
12. Support capacity building of WFP staff, partners, government and communities in preparing and responding to food assistance needs through training and provision of equipment related to HGSF.
13. Provide guidance and supervision to staff under his/her responsibility, while accompanying them in complex portfolio analyses
14. Contribute to resource mobilization efforts for WFP projects, articulating the need for school feeding programme opportunities, and monitor the resource situation of projects, including the availability of food and cash
15. 15. Ensure better use of financial resources to achieve objectives within a realistic budget
16. Respond to any other tasks requested by the supervisor.of WFP, partners, government and communities in preparing and responding to food assistance needs through training and provision of equipment in relation to the HGSF.
