Under the Country Strategic Plan, Palestine Country Office aims to provide food assistance to the most vulnerable insecure groups of the Palestinian non-refugee population thru general food distributions, via in-kind food rations and cash-based transfers, mainly in the form of electronic food vouchers. It will also expand further its resilience-building program in the coming years for vulnerable households, women and youth, in areas such as livelihood support programming in protracted crises, livelihood support in urban and middle-income contexts, aligning asset creation and human capital development efforts with national productive safety nets.
WFP Palestine Country Office aims at providing the infrastructure, technical capacity and links to facilitate complementary humanitarian and development actions by the partners and Agencies across the country, contributing at the achievement of collective outcomes that maximize outputs, reinforce the impact of joint UN programming and support the national priority of sustainable development.
In this context, building on past and current successes and the significant expansion of its interoperable CBT platform, WFP continues to offer partners on-demand access to unique CBT system, which provides a coordinated, efficient, cost-effective and high-quality mechanism for the delivery of financial assistance to vulnerable Palestinians.

The Palestine Office programs include a successful Service Provision portfolio catered to external stakeholders leveraging WFP’s transfer platform, inter-agency Common Feedback Mechanism systems, monitoring and evaluation expertise, and Gender and Protection capacities. Additionally, WFP co-leads the Palestine Food Security Sector and is a key contributor to other coordination platforms such as the Cash Working Group and the Inter Cluster Coordination Group.

WFP Palestine identified the need to lead and coordinate above mentioned unique activities within the Country Office by a professional with extensive breadth of CBT and service provision programs, policy knowledge and experience, including strong technical abilities to credibly influence strategic and operational discussions and provision of technical advice to manage the Office portfolio of activities.
